CANNED SALMON.
Early in June salmon packers advised representatives and agents that they would possibly be able to supply only 50 per cent, of. tho orders then in hand for Cohoes. Importers slate that is is now impossible to buy this gitfile of flsh, and also that red Alaska salmon is very difficult to obtain. British Columbia packers a%viso that their pack of Sockeye is being rapidly sold at prices substantially in advance of opening quotations. Prices for highest grades are said to. bo too high to attract consumers. It is'feared that supplies of Cohoes may be inadequate, but sample binks should bo available to meet demands for tho season.
