STATE CANNOT INFLUENCE SEAMEN. (Received 26th August, 10 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. The Premier, Mr. Collier, who has received a, cable message from the executive officials of the British Seamen's Union similar to that sent to Mr. Bruce, said he had no reason to assume that fchere would be any need for the State Government to take action. It could not influence the seameffs decision.
