THE MEAT REPORT
Anxiety was displayed by Mr. W. P..' Lysnar (Gisborne) in the House of Representatives yesterday as to ivheti the report of the Meat Commission would be made available. He said he intended to introduce legislation dealing with the meat tr<;st question, but his hands were tied because the report of the Commission v;ts held up. The Prime- Minister (the Hon. J. ,G; Coates) stated that he had hoped to lay the report .on the table this iveek, but there was so much evidence and the document was so huge that it would take' ten days to print. There was only one cop/ for the printer. Mr. Lysnar: "Why not lay it on the table of the House and print it afterwards?*' Mr. Coates replied that that eonld not be done, but the report would be presented as soon as it was printed. "Make it public," suggested Mr. Lysnar. "Make another copy." "That would take about as long a3 it would to print it,'* femarkel I\i\ Coates amidst laughter.
