A SPECIAL TRIBUNAL
' (Received 25th August, 10.30 a.m.) i MELBOURNE, This Day. The Deportation Act provides for a tribunal to be set up to consider the deportation of any person, to consist of tihree members. The chairman must be ;i person who holds, or has held, the office of Judge, or of stipendiary or special Magistrate. If the person summoned, •who must have been born in Australia, fails to appear at the specified time, or if the board vecommends that he be deported,, the Minister is.empowered to mate an order for his deportation. After that the person may be kept in custody pending his departure. I The owners oE any vessel may be called upon to take tho deportee back to the j country whence he came.
