HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
The new bill at His Majesty's Theatre last evening was hailed with enthusiasm by a crowded house, and again hundreds of would-be patrons were turned away. The revue for the occasion was entitled "Don't Tell the Wife," in which Jim Gerald figures as the foolish' henpecked husband of Mrs. 1 Pottleberry, whose married life has been spent in wondering indignantly why she succumbed to, the charms of Mr. Pottleberry. One of the funniest scenes in the farce is the reading of a will by which the Pottleberrys hope to benefit. Pottleberry, by his idiotic actions and absurd asides, keeps the audience helpless with laughter, much of the fun-making introduced being original and- clever. _ His song "Millions of People," and his comic danco are both very funny. The supporting company does its work well, and the musical numbers and the dancing are features of the revue. The Six Twinklers are at their best in eccentric and fancy dancing, and their frocks are delightfully varied and in keeping with the ballets. A strong vaudeville section is headed by Danny d'Alma, who performs new wonders with his troupe of trained dogs, and also walks cleverly on stills. The Colin-Marie Duo have new songs and pianoforte items, and the Harris Family is heard in entirely new instrumental Items. A News Budget completes a very fine programme, while Mr. Frank Crowther's orchestra plays the usual lively music.
