INERTIA OF MARYLEBONE
(AUSTIUMA.N-NBW ZEALAND CABLB ASSOCIATION,)
LONDON, 22nd .August. Tho "Observer," ill an editorial, says: "The most gratifying position in the season's cricket is the younger players' emergence to more prominent positions in the game. We ought to have a more effective means of verifying the coming men's powers. Mr. Warner's suggested North v. South match would, in part, make good the indifferences to preparation and organisation for the Tests which the responsible authorities are showing. Marylebone's inertia is bringing its status into a critical question. It seems to be inviting the time when it will have to be transformed into a more constitutional kind of monarchy."
