ANNUAL" REPORT.

Th» annual report of the Star Boating Club, to be presented-at the annual meeting on Thursday evening, state* that the club is not in quite as good a financial position as it wu lajt yew. "The position, ■ however, is quite good, and | the balance of assets over liabilities is thown as £2006," the report lUtei. the membership of the club, it is stated, i« 343, which includes 61 life active, 119 active, 64 Uf» honorary, tnd 40 country members. The club was represented at regattas held »t Picton, Wellington, Ham. iltcn (championship), and Lake Forsyth, and was successful at Wellington in the senior fours and pain and maiden pairs. At the Hamilton - Regatta crews were entered for championship fours, pairs, double iculli, and the Hamilton Cup. . Attention might be drawn to the fact that this is the first year since 1914 the club has entered a senior four which has been successful in a regatta.. The report deals with the. rowing and social life of the club, and, in conclusion, states: "The committee feel that although the year has not been tremendously successful, the club is in a much better position than it has been for, jsome years, and the prospects for the coming seasonare very favourable indeed."
