N.Z. UNION MEETING.

A meeting of the Management. Corn•'mittee of the New Zealand Bugby Union was held last evening. Mr. S. 8. Dean presided, and there were also present: Messrs. A. 0. Kitto, T. A. Fletcher, H. S. Leith, T. Parata, W. Hornig, and B. Wylie. An intimation wag received from the Taranaki Union that it was desired that the match against Hawkes Bay on 22nd August should be a Ranfurly Shield game. It was decided to forward the request to the Hawkes Bay Union and make the acceptance of the challenge optional, A suggestion was bade by the New South Wales Rugby Union that the members of the Management Committee visiting New .Zealand with the New South T^ales team should confer. with the New Zealand Union on the subject of the French visit in 1927. The matter ~vrta deferred. Henry Anderson (of Te Puke) was readmitted as a Rugby player.
