Bull-fighting without horses in tho fashion followed in iho. south-west of Franco has been one of the exciting attractions of Paris lately. Professional bullfighters from the department of the Landcs have brought with them several of the wild French bulls habitually used for this form of sport. The Landais form of bull-nghting is exempt from the Woodthirsty excitements of the Spanish sport, and consists largely in the' "toreador" demonstrating his skill and daring in avoiding by a hair's breadth the horns of the infuriated animal ho hns provoked to attack him. The danger, ..therefore, contrary to tho Spanish practice, is for the uiau.
