BRISK STOCK EXCHANGE TURNOVER.
Business has been wonderfully good during 'the past month (July), and prices of all high grade stocks have remained very steady, and in some- instances have appreciated still further (reports the Auckland Stock Exchange Committee). "In the bank group, New Zealands are slightly easier, while National Banks are somewhat firmer. The insurance section has been fairly active, and there have been numerous transactions, particularly in New Zealand and South British, while there lias been some inquiry for Standards. Gas (hares have not been in much demand, while on the other hand timbers have been eagerly eougbt for. Wilson's Cements have been much in favour, and sales have been made up to 33s 6d."
