MEMBER OF SEATTLE'S CREW DEAD

SUCCUMBS TO BLOW ON HEAD.

I It was learned, to-day that a member of the crew of the flagship "Seattle had died, yesterday on the hospital ship Relief from inju»es to the head received by him in a clash with the shore-patrol on Thursday night. Details of the affray are not available at the time of writing, but the accounts given by the men suggest that, an ugly development occurred in a brawl in the city, and a patrolman was forced to take severe measures to protect himself.

"All I can tell you at present is that a man did die from the effects of a knock on the head," stated one of the ship's officers, "but T can give you no details. That is all I know about it."
