COLLIERIES,

It is reported that a travelling commission largely composed of experts will be the most likely form of the coal commission. They are expected to tour the coalfields and investigate the trouble on the spot, including the inspection of books, and the condition of the machinery. The production of each colliery, and the sales organisation and distribution will also be considered, especially the difference between the pithead prices and the charge -mads to consumers;.
