DE LUXE THEATRE.
Commencing at the De Luxe Theatre to-day, and thereafter at matinees daily and nightly at 8 o'clock, will be screened the funniest film play ever put on a screen, entitled "I'll Show You the Town," taken from Elmer Davis's popular novel and starring Reginald Denny. Alex, played by Reginald Denny, is a professor of English at old Wyndham, a college founded by his grandfather. The college is defunct, and Alex tries to get enough funds to keep the old school together. As luck would have it, the famous Agnes Clevenger, wealthy widow of a nearby provincial town, is visiting the metropolis, and Alex is'accorded an introduction to her and is worked to "show her the town." With just thirty minutes in which to show the wealthy widow the sights of the town, Denny accomplishes the unusual feat in less than a quarter of an hour. Humorous situations occur, and Denny later finds himself trying to entertain three women at the same place and at the same time, though each separately, neither of the women being aware of the other's existence. Mr. Austin, the musical director, has arranged a fine musical programme for the orchestra De Luxe, and in addition a big supporting programme has been arranged.
