(II TELEdRAPH SPECIAL TO THI TOST.) CARTERTON, This Day. A branch of the Independent Order ol Oddfellows (N.Z.) has been formed in Martinborough, and will be known as the Huangarua Lodge. The following officers have been elected: —N.G., Bro. P. G. Lewis; V.G., Bro. W. B. Martin; financial secretary, Bro. L. J. Evans; rec. secretary, Bro. M. Kedgley; treasurer, Bro. E. C. Lorok; warden, Bro. W. J. Kitching; conductor, Bro. C. M. Whelan; appointed officers, Bros. J. Smith, George Moffatt, V. G. Ramsay, W. C. Franks. R. W. Hensen; charter members, W. B. Martin, W. J. Hore, P. G. Lewis, M. N. Hafdies, L. Evans, W. Kitching, and V. S. Michel!. At the annual meeting of tho Wairarapa Past Grand Lodge of Oddfellows, at Cartorton, the following officers were elected : —Lecture master, Bro. Lovegrove (Martinborough); president, Bro. Reid (Miisterton); vice-presidents, Bro. X- Feast (Martinborough); warden, Bro. Shu-key (Marlinborongh); committee, Bros. D. P. Loasby (Greytown), Brooke (Martiubovongh), and Longley (Masterton). The October meeting will be held in Martinborough. Five brothers and a sister were advanced to the purple degree. The improvement fund of the' Papawai Maori' Cemetery Has now reached £37 7s 6d.
