RESIDENTIAL NURSERY AFFAIRS
VARIOUS FUNCTIONS. Violet Day will # take place-on Friday next, and with its fragrant realisation 01 spring, in the form of beautiful flowers, all signifying ''that the winter of our discontent is passed" and much brightness is before us. The promoters of the Residential Nursery are hopeful of a splendid sale this year, as the work 01 the nursery increases, and its benefits become better known. Many a poor and sickly mother goes off to hospital with a safe and cheery feeling about her little children, on account of the safe refuge of the nursery for them. It is hoped that all who have flowera, Jams, pickles, etc., to spare will forward them to the depot, Harcourt's Buildings, or to any of the stalls.
