The New York State Boxing Commission has announced that it is "through with Dempsey," and ijill ignore him in future. It expressed tho hojje that organised boxing bodies in other States would co-operate in the ostracism. Tho chairman, Mr. Farley, announced that Dempsey is not licensed in this State, so we cannot make him fight. Accordingly, we will ignore him in future. However, we have no authority to vacate the heavyweight title, nor to name another champion." Tho break resulted from Dempsey's failure to appear personally, as he had promised, to make a definite statement of his intentions.
