INTERCLUB AND OTHER MATCHES
INTERESTING NOTES (By "Trigger.") The fifth round of matches in the B grade inter-club was fired last •week, and tome very good scores were registered. The Osmond Shield -was also shot for during the week. The annual post match with the Palmerston North Association was fired by the Wellington teams on Saturday on the Harbour Board range. ,This week willsee some very interesting matches in the A grade, which will be the sixth round. The writer would very much like to hear of a Post match (20-aside), 10 shots, fired against the Christchnrch Association. It would be a good match, and'with the conditions of checking being tightened up, there should be very little difference in the scores. For the benefit of local enthusiasts, a Post match was fired recently by teams (20-aside) from Ohristchurch and Dunedin. The Christchurch Association won with a margin of 28 points to spare, the scores reading: Christchurch 964, Dunedin 936. As a, "bullseye" in the South Island is 5 points, it will be seen that the "winners only dropped 36 points. The scores were: Two possibles, six with 49, seven with 48, four with 47, one with 46. The performance, put up by fr\e Wellington South team (five men) at Greytown last Saturday week at the Wairarapa championships is worthy of special mention. Their grand total for three matches (10 shots each match) was 1478 out of 1500, which means that they dropped only 22 points altogether out of 150 shots fired. Surely they must have been seeing well. The team was composed of the following:— Messrs. T. A. Otton, T. Ahlers, A. Caldwell, D. Dement, O. Eempleman.
