Mr. Baldwin announced in the House of Commons that the House will rise on the 7th or 3th August until 16th Novemy ber. The following were among the Bills which had been postponed until the autumn:—Dangerous Drugs/ Government of India, Civil Service, and Merchandise Marks on Imported Agricultural Produce. Mr. Maxton asked whether the House would reassemble if industrial troubles became more serious in the interval. . Mr. Baldwin said there was always power to summon the House. He hac no hesitation in giving an assurance that he would do so, but he could not imagine that such an assurance wai necessary. , • .
