Two seamen from tho American merchantman Eastern Moon, John Harmola and JJeljo Burstad, wero taken to Melbouriie Hospital suffering from poisoning by iin opium preparation. Harmola wits dead. George Wasscrman, a waiter, has been arrested, charged with being in possession of a deleterious drug. It appears that Harmola and Barstad returned to the ship drunk, and pestered Wasserman, who is the ship's waiter, and a drug addict, for sniffs of the drug, which ho gave them.
