MR. W. A. WATERS INJURED,

(DI TELEGRAPH.— MESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. While proceeding to Wellington yesterday to attend the conference of power boards' engineers, Mr. W. A. Waters, chief engineer of the Mana-watu-Oroua Power Board, accompanied by his wife and young son, met with a serious motor accident. The front tire bursting caused the car to capsize, pinning the occupants beneath. Mrs. Waters and tne child escaped with bruises and shock, but Mr. Waters sustained a fracture of the base of the skull; and lies in Parmerston North Hospital in a serious condition. He retained consciousness throughout.
