TROTTING NOTES

(By "Vedette.")

There was some interesting work nt Addington on Saturday, and a number of horses were allowed to run along fast. Vilo, who appears to be very well, was always, gping better than Landlord over twelve furlongs. Bruce and Fancy Boy were companions over a mile and a half. Bruce is an improved horse. Sheik and Delavan Quest were given strong pace work over a mile and a half. Both horses are very well. Double Event, who is coming to hand nicely, did just a little more than ten furlongs, pacing resolutely. Pinevale is showing plenty of speed in his work, and must bo almost at the top of his form. Young Blake continues to do well, and towards the end of the meeting should be practically at his beet. Hypo and Bell Harold set off for a two-mile journey and were joined by Dolly Dillon when half a mile had been covered. The trio paced along at a good solid clip and looked none the worse at the completion of the work-out.

Pearlie Chimeg showed a great deal of dash when pacing a mile in saddle. This mare is in rare buckle.

The old stager Sol trotted very steadily, for A. D. Chapman over a journey of nearly two miles.

Be'llfashion was .sprinted and Florrie Bingen was given a useful task. The latter seems well forward.

Dillon S. was worked by E. Carlyori over about two miles in harness, and got through his task satisfactorily. Kissing Cup and Argus went a mile and a quarter, the former without hopples.

Rebel, who looks particularly well, did a mile and a half, but was not asked te do his best.

Swiftbine, driven by W. J. Tomkinson, trotted very fust, but was erratic, and broke up several times. Napland and Kean John were his mates over a tworaile journey.

Minton Derby was duo to be worked on Saturday afternoon. It was Tomkihaon's intention to joe the Australian pacer first of all, and if he appeared fairly aouad to send him along fast.
