SYDNEY, 31at'Jnn». /,, A stop-work meeting of the Ssamen's Union, decided that unless the guarantee clause d3mand§ are conceded as eich vessel arrives at her home port, the Commonwealth men will give 14 dayn' notice to cease work from 4th July, liiis will apply to all owners who do not concede the men's demands. It is understood that only two linej have so far granted the men's demands—Burns, Philp, and Co., and the Patrick Steam&hip Companies. This is the most serious move on the men's part so iar, as it threatens to hang up the -whole of the local ship ping.
