TE MORI ROSE BOWL MATCH.

The Wellington Rugby Union's Management Committees met last evening, Mr. J. Prendeville presiding-. Others present were:—Messrs. j; N. Millard, W. J. Hardham, G. F. W. Jackson, A. Jackson, H. Murphy, H. H. Sterling, A. Lindsay, E. Ward, E. Williams, and A. E. Neilson (secretary). Mr. A. J. Griffiths was away with the Wellington team in Taranaki. Permission was granted for a match at Wellington between the Christchurch and ■ Wellington Plumbers' Unions, the applicants to be 1" advised to apply to the City Council for use of a ground on the 12th September. The Lower Hutt Borough Council wrote advising that permission was granted to make a charge for admission to the Hutt Recreation Ground next Saturday. ' , Advice was received from the South Canterbury Rugby Union that it had decided to postpone its tour to the North Isla,nd, this course being rendered necessary solely on account of financial' reasons. Last year all available moriey, it was stated, had been expended on the purchase of a ground, and there was now an urgent need for a grandstand. The Hawkes Bay Rugby Union notified its aceptance of the offer made by Wellington of a match, between the Wellington and Hawkes Bay junior representatives at Napier on the 19th September. • • ' ■' ' i The New Zealand Rugby Union wrote stating that it had agreed to the Maori Advisory Board playing the Te Mori Rose Bowl match at Wellington on the 10th August, subject to the Wellington Union's of the match.
