MAN'S OUTLOOK

NO HAIR AND LITTLE COMFORT.

(DMITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION-t-COPIRIQHT.)

(STOKES SUN CABLE.) (Received 30th June, 10 a.m.}

. . _ LONDON, 29th June. Mankind is speedily approaching the stage when life will bo sustained mentally rather than by physical power, writes Professor Low in a new book entitled "The Future." He says that man will ultimately be unable to bear the slightest hardship, and will be forced to remain in his dwelling,- only venturing into the open after special precautions. His normal day will include such horrors as a radio alarm clock and one-piece suits of synthetic felt; a hat will be always worn because he will be hairless. The loud speaker will give him news at the breakfast table, with television glimpses of events. He- will always travel in closed motor-cars, and his shopping will be made effortless by moving pavements and stairways. He will make his communications by a, personal radio apparatus with a metal aerial in 'his headgear, which will involve literally "talking through the hat." "Food will bo prepared in communal kitchens.
