IMPORTS OF TIMBER
Imports of timber continue.to be heavy, but rather less in -May than in April. For last month they included 727,715 feet of Oregon pine, 580,938 feet cedar, and 1,678,150 feet in round and undressed poles, all timbers representing f™ il»d rougli timber' amounting to 4,^63,000 feet, as compared with 6,583 - 580 feet for Ui.e previous month. Exports ot iNew Zealand timber were 3,035 000 ieet, of which 2,183,811 feet were .'white pine and 513,594 rough sawn kauri.
