NEW CLUB FORMED
• A and enthusiastic meeting of Public Servants was held in the Government Buildings on. Thursday evening, when ..it ■■was decided to • forni a miniature iille- club. •
-Mr. M'Kay, who "was-in the chair, explained tho steps already taken. The greatest difficulty had been experienced ■with: regard to finding a range but this had been met to a certain' extent, and .a-range, was available-'which was suitable* but rather limited in its accommodation. The club hoped to be in full swing within a week or two Two hundred; members of the Service had already signified their intention of supporting the club, and certain- trophies had been promised. The Service contains some crack shots, and,it is predicted that the club m the near future, will give a good ac- , count of. itself. .
A strong committee was set up for the purpose of drawing up the ■ necessary Wiles_ for submission to a further general meeting. The members of the committee are as follow:—Messrs. Webb (chairman), Wilson (secretary). . Woods, M'Kay, Rawson, Sinclair Thompson, and the Misses Aubrey and Wood.
