Surely he would not depnve^the people of Te Aro even the_ satisfaction of having the bells in their vicinity if they possessed the best site which they apparently do, owing to that portion of the city now being the centre of Wellington/ The musio of the bells would inspire the people generally to hasten the time when Te Aro as it is to-day will only be the memory of a bad dream. Post Office clock is continually supplying evidence of your other correspondent, "H.F.'s," wrong deductions- its ringing tones can frequently bo heard at Miramar, Karori, Kaiwarra and &™ ay- -1, H™ miles a^a.V from the Post Office: it frequently wakes me up in the morning except "when the galeV are blowing," a 8 "H.F." states.
