The House' of Representatives met' at 2.30 p.m. to-day. Mr. R-. A. Wright (Wellington Suburbs) gave notice to ask the Prime Minister if he' would introduce a Civil Service Amendment, Bill, which, he said, , was long overdue. The late Prime Minister last session admitted that the Bill was urgently^ needed, but could not introduce it owing to pressure of other business. . Mr., R. P. Hudson (Motueka) gave notice to ask the Minister of Agriculture if the Government would continue the guarantee on export fruit next season, and, if so, to what extent? Mr. P. A: de la Perelle (Awarua) said he would ask the Minister in charge of the Electoral Department if persons whose occupations necessitated -travelling from one electorate to another, and were therefore unable to comply with the three months' residence qualification, should not' be disfranchised. •;■.'.. . . , „-- ; M lv F. J. Rolleston (Timaru) gave notice to ask the Minister of Agriculture whether some reciprocal arrangement would be made with Australia regarding the importation of. potatoes. j The Minister of Health is to be asked i by Mr. D.
