LADIES' HOCKEY
TE HORA v. KAROEI. Although the ground was very heavy the Te .Hora v. Karori ladies' fixture played on the King's Birthday provided lan interesting contest. The Te Hora forward line was in good form, and soon i took the ball up the field, but were unable to pass the Karori full-backs Once Te Horn hud a fine chance of scoring, but Miss Haliburfon, Karon's goal-keeper, kicked the ball and thus saved the goal. Miss I. .M'Donald, Te Jloras centrerforward, played-a rattling game. Miss Ashdown, on the left wing, and Mrs. Hagen, on the right wing, also deserve credit. Karori had one or two shots at scoring, but were unlucky Miss Spiers, Karon's left wing, played a, sound game, Miss Hawkins and Miss Townsend also showed up prominently for Karori. On the wholo, both teams were in good form -the game ended in a draw, neither side scoring. Mr. Harlshorne controlled the !
