THE LYONS CASE
RAILWAYMENPROTEST. Resolutions were passed at the monthly meeting of the Wellington branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants protesting against "the a.tocratic action of Sir Francis 801 lin issuing deportation papers against Noel Lyons, whoso only crime was that of. being in possession of Communistic literature '; and also protesting against the ban on economic and political literature and urging the repeal of the War Regulations Continuance Act in this respect. The meeting advocated that all persons convicted for selling this literature should be struck off the conviction list and that all literature seized by the Customs should bo handed over to the' addressees.
