HUTT LICENSING COMMITTEE
TRANSFERS AND RENEWALS. Tlio annual meeting of the Hutt Licensing Committee, was held this morning, presided over by the chairman Mr \V. G. RiddelL S3]. There were also present: Messrs. .R: CJ. House, J,. Stone house, and J. J. Cody. The chairman said (hat the police reported that during the past year tho hotels were well conducted, and'the committee was well satisfied with the state of affaire, and hoped that ii, would continue during the coming year. There were some minor alterations to buildings ordered, all of which hiul been put in hand. The Health Officer had been associated with the police in visitins the hotels. ' ■A transfer of the license of the Rail-' way Hotel, Lower Hutt, from H. Al'Artuey to William "H'Farlane was sr.-tuled. New applications were granted to AY. 11. Lees, Family Hotel f Edward Sullivan, Central Hotel : AY. Jl-Parlr.ne, Railway Hotel—all of Lower Hull: and S. ,1. Whiteford, A 7ictoria Hotel. Petonc. Renewals were granted as follow :—.A C. Wright. Central Hotel; E. \M'Bride, Grand National Hotel; \V. H. J. Donovan, Empire Hotel—all of Petone j A 7. R. Meaeher. Beile Vue Hotel, Lower Hutt; L. M. M'limes. Taitii Hotel. Taita. The wholesale license of A. Y. Lees was also renewed.
