-*»» WELLINGTON; AND CHRISTCHURCH TRAINING COLLEGES. The annual debate between the Wellington and Christchureh Training Colleges was hold last evening, the^home | team securing the victory. I Tlie subject of the debate was : "That ! the -Activities of the Navy League in 'our Schools Should be Encouraged " Wellington taking the affirmative. 0 ' Christchureh were represented by Miss Simpson (leader), Messrs. Hayes and Grant. The speakers for Wellington were Miss Ross and Messrs. A. E. Camn- ! bell (leader) and J. Lothian. Professor U. E. Muvphy acted as iudqc; and chose .Miss Simpson as the best speaker, with Mr. J. Lothian second. During tho interludes music was J played by the Wellington Training Col- [ lego Orchestra.
