The trial has begun of nine men charged with being concerned in the murder of the Sirdar. Two student brothers, named Enaiat. recounted their participation in the crime. Another prisoner, Mahmoud Hashed, repeated his previous confession. Five prisoners denied complicity in the murder.
Tho Sirdar's chauffeur, Marsh, - said he saw three gunmen close to the car, and two others behind. A bullet penetrated tho door and entered his leg. A second went through the top of his tarbush, and a third grazed tho buck of his neck.
A convict named Helbawi, who assisted the police to'track tho perpetrators, told how lift gained tho confidence of the prisoners and extracted from them the story of the murder, and- induced them to flee, thus leading to their arrest.
The hearing was adjourned,
