A MATTER OF LOGIC

TO TSS EDITOR.

Sir, —Your correspondent, "New Zealand," is singularly lacking in logic, although he sets out to show that Mr. Jackson is weak in that respect. When the ships of the British Fleet were in American waters the wet canteens were closed in order to conform with the wishes of the majority of the American people. To be logical, the wet canteens of the American Fleet should be opened when in New Zealand ports, because the majority of New Zealanders have voted for open liquor bars.—l am, etc..

LOGIC.
