EMPRESS THEATRE.
The greatest attraction on the present programme at the Empress Theatre is the official moving picture record of the tour of the 1924 All Blacks, depicting the famous New Zealanders meeting and defeating the world's best in football. Mr. 0. S. Badeley, a member of the team,'describes each incident. The film commences at the. first match against Devon and includes, full views of the more important ■ games;- notably those against Newport', Cardiff, Wales, London, and finally the historic match against the English fifteen. In support is screened the funeral ceremony of the Eight Hon. W. F. Massey, and the passing through the streets of Wellington. The other star . attt action is the comedy-drama, "Listen, Lester," founded on the clever stage play of the same name. The plot deals with the adventures of a bundle of love letters which a gay old spark has written to one of his many amours. There are many amusing situations, but the requisite result—happiness—is finally achieved.- A Mack Sennett comedy and a Topical Budget complete a' very fine programme. : The. Empress Orchestra plays excellent incidental music.
