ROTOMA TRAGEDY
SOME FURTHER PARTICULARS
CHARGES AGAINST OLSEN.

. ROTORUA, 4th May. . The bodies of the man and girl found on the shore of Lake Rotonia are supposed to be those of C. Olsen, storekeeper, of Horotiu, a^ed 39, and Molly Moors, aged 14, daughter of Mr. A. S. Moors, Horotiu. The girl was shot through the heart and the man through the mouth.
A scrap of a telegram appears to indicate that Olsen wired to the girl ,at Hastings to meet him. Moors wa-3 accountant do Olsen. ' The movements of the pair have not-yet been traced. A short time previous to the tragedy a, roadman named Helph discovered a car attempting to travel along the extreme eastern shore of the lake. He assisted the occupants, _ and warned them that the route was impracticable. Ten minutes later he heard the report of a gun, and on investigating lie found two bodies lying on the shore at the side of the car, whose wheels were in the lake.
The bodies have been brought to Rotorua. ROTORUA, This Day. The inquest on the bodies of the man Olson and the girls Moors takes place this afternoon
It is understood that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of. Olsen on an abduction charge, and a manslaughter charge arising out of a motor accident in which Mr. and Mrs. Graham were killed at Ngaruawahia was also pending. The gun used.had been recently sawn off to fit the motor tool box. The- car was recently purchased in Hamilton. Death in both cases was instaneous. '

Olsen was the driver of a motor-car which recently crashed into a telegraph post on the Horotiu road,' resulting in the death of Mr. and Mrs. Graham" The police state the number of the car is idential with that of a motor recently sold to Olsen by a Hamilton resident WHAKATANE, This Day The bodies of the victims of the tragedy at Rotoma were taken, to Rotonia, where the police are making investigations. They stayed at the Te Teko Hotel on Sunday night, having engaged separate rooms as Mr. and Miss Clarke, and left" early yesterday, appearing quite cheerful They turned off the Main road on to the Lake Beach, where the car became bogged.
. ;■_. HASTINGS, This Day. The girl Moors had been staying with an aunt herei for a fortnight, SEe disappeared on Saturday night without giving an indication of her intended movements.
