The Pacific Cable Board notifies that contracts for the "Vancouter-Fanning Is-land-Fiji oable have been placed with the Telegraph Construction Company (Siemens^ embodying a new invention conferring ■ unprecedented traffic carrying capacity^ The contractors are buildihoa special cable ship to carry a record weight.
