A MESSAGE TO WELLINGTON.
In the course of ah address to d largo gathering of boys at the Y.M:O,A. last evening, Mr. Harry N. Holmes, wellknown m Now Zealand as a. former General secretary of the Y.M.dA.. madfeV teresting references to the activities ol the local branch in its early, days on the field of play Many fine players had been produced, and among the Cricketers was Glarne Qrimmett, who had recently become famous by reason of his nerformances for Australia against the Enchshmen. Mr. Holmes was in Adelaide when the South Australians heavily de leafed the Englishmen in the last match of the tour Grimmett again distinguishing himself, During the adjournment, Mr Home? had quite an interesting talk with Orunmett about the latter'! cafly days of cricket in Wellington and the now famous cricketer gave to Mr Holmes a message for the boys and all other enthusiasts in Wellington.
