LODGE MEETING
The Court Epuni Lodge, No. 7314, was opened in due form, U.K. Bro. Mason presiding over a very good attendance of members. Woodwards reported one member on the sick fund. One maternity claim was passed for payment. Two new members were duly initiated into the Order by C.R. Bro. Mason, the grand charge being read by P.C.It. Bro. Mills. A very hearty welcome was accorded the following courts which were present:—Primrose, Lady Glasgow, Marquis of Normanby, Sir William Jervois, Loyal Northland, Sir George Grey, and Sir George Bo wen. The usual Foresters' welcome was accorded the district officers by P.D.C.R. Bro. LeadbeaUr. D.C.R., Bro. Carr thanked Court Epuni for theiv hearty welcome, and explained the large gathering was for the purpose of making a presentation to P.D.C.R. Bro. F. Clark, of a handsome silver afternoon tea service. The D.C.R. eulogised the good qualities of Bro. Clark. Bro .Clark suitably replied. The District Secretary gave a brief snmmary of the good standing of courts in the Wellington district. This brought the order of business to a close, and the conrt went into harmony, the visitors and members enjoying themselves in dancing •oa iwvlwir ginned. .
