Speaking at the Wellington RoUry Club luncheon yesterday, Mr E N Gunsaulus who has l, een for some years United States Consul for New Zealand and who. is returning to America next wee,c, stated, after making a sympathetic reference to the illness of. the Prime Minister, that Mr. Massey held firmly the opinion that the continued friendly relations of Great Britain and the Tjmted States would do more thai) any other international relationship to maintain the peace of the world Mr (.iiinsanlus spoke in warm terms of appreciation oF the kindness he had received during his period of office in New Zealand, and said he would carry back with him to the United States the" pleasanbest recollections of the Dominion and would always take the greatest interest in lie .progress oi iJ»w Zealand.
