MOSUL BOUNDARY
STATEMENT BY ARBITRATOR,
(UNITED- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPIP.IGHT.) (rUBUSEEB IS TUB TIMES.) PARIS, 20th April. Colonel Paulis, ono of the League of ' Nations* three Mosul boundary arbitrators, in a statement, deplored the attii.ture of certain English newspapers,which appeared to be doubting the arbitrators' impartiality. He declared each arbitrator "had carried out an absolutelyindependent investigation. They were mealing shortly at Geneva. It was even possible that they might '.i meet elsewhere to avoid any chance of outside influence. He emphasised the fact that nobody knew the arbitrators' decision, which would not be based on impressions, but on facts and information collected on the spot.
