Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. For drunkenness, Michael Cooney was convicted and discharged. A remand to 24th April at Auckland -was granted in %he case of George Reynold Oliver, who was charged with failing to account for £2 to Charles. Stevens Craig. On a charge of the theft of a. brace and drill, valued at £2, from Arthur James Wycherley, James Wemyss O'Donohoo was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within eighteen months In a reserved decision, Mr. C.. R. Orr Walker, S.M., imposed a fine of £10 on Smith and Smith, Ltd., painters and decorators, for erecting scaffolding which did not comply with the regular tions. On a charge of theft of an overcoat, valued at £4,. from Henry James Tattersall, a salesman named Harold Robinson was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months. For being on the premises of the New Zoalander Hotel after hours, Edgar Cole, Herman Matson, Daniel Healy, and Matti Kaukinen were each fined £1. A charge of false prentences against C. Chrystall, alias Charles Norman Rossi-' ter, was dismissed. .
