Mr. Dean had extended an invitation for a British team to visit Aew Zealand and New South Wales next year, and he pointed out that acceptance of the invitation would do a great deal of good to the game, particularly in New bouth Wales. "They are having a hard fight," he added, "but we are pleased to say that New South Wales is coming back.' I had a letter from the chairman of the union tho other day i leln^ arfced, lasfc season with a dencit ot ±,900. and as a result of our team's visit to Aew South Wales they finished JJP with a credit balance of over £1000 They are re-establishing Rugby football in tho country districts, and a visit from a British team, particularly to New South Wales, will do them a tremendous amount of good. I trust that you will do everything possible to let us have a visit. The advice was "received vby cable recently that the invitation could not be accepted for next year.
