TRENTHAM NOTES

This morning was beautifully fine at Trentham, and a continuance of the present weather will make' the. tracks quite good again. The tan and the'in-' side of the winter grass gallops were available, but practically * all the fast work was done on the tan. .
Carawock, with H. M'Sweeney ' up, was sent for a schooling gallop over the hurdles and two of the ..brush fences. He did not negotiate the brush fence over well, due no doubt to the shadows bub otherwise he gave a'good display! His.campaign has not yet been decided Degage, after a round at" a good halfl pace, ran from the six-furlong post in lmin 21sec. . •
Don Fisher and Rose Blossom were together at the end of three furlongs run in 40sec.
Stream and The Tank had. a good working gallop over seven furlongs, but they were not out to make time. Quiescent, who looks well after his Aorthern trip, sprinted half a mile alone in 52sec, a good effort on the heavy track.- J
Merit, after doing pace work, sprinted halt a mile in 52sec.
Otauru (P. M'Brearty) was schooled over; the pony hurdles, jumping very carefully and slowly. r s y Appellant and Fool's Paradise were given pace work. The latter is in great order, and has improved by his recent racing.
Sir Para did steady work. He looks well.
Ardfmnan galloped half a mile in 53 sec, .hitting out well, and Lady Gay was given a good working gallop Sottano just headed Esquimaux in a half-mile sprint which took 52sec Fsquimaux made a good showing consideruL little *OTk for a lons

Kuhio's task was a workine eallon over^ seven furlongs. He is coming to hand nicely. 6 Hyama'and Star Shell were given steady work. The former has been jumped, and made a good showing.
