«.m, ~., LON]?ON, 20th April. • -the Daily Chronicle's" Vienna correspondent recounts a gruesome story of a widower requesting permission to exrame the body of his wife, who had been ten years dead, on the around that her grave had fallen into neglect, and he wished to place the body in more beautiful surroundings, worthier of many years of happy married life. The authorities granted the demand, but the widower's- satisfaction was so excessive that tlie Magistrate ordered him (o be watched. The police found that the widower was a rich Hungarian who had given his wiie expensive jewels. These were buried with her at the wife's request The price of jewels had greatly advanced since her death and the widower hoped to recover the jewels to pay his debts J-he authorities have withdrawn the permit and are prosecuting the widower.
