KING'S THEATRE.
To run away with your husband and leave a prospective husband waiting at the altar is an episode in "Husbands and Lovers," which is the main attraction at the King's Theatre this week. It is a story of the married life of an ordinary couple, <who become bored with one another. Under a mistaken sense of generosity the husband decides to leave nothing in the way.of his wife obtaining a divorce.' ' Everything is arranged^ and after a divorce Las been obtained, preparations are made for ' the consequent ; wedding. A few minutes before the wedding, the bride- v realises...that she still. Joyes her former _husband, and' at the last moment elopes with, him, leaving the unfortunate bridegroom and the wedding guests "waiting at the church." There isa good supporting programme: Bebe Daniels comes to the King's Theatre on Friday next* in "Dangerous Money." Th& picture is based on Julie Herne's adaptation.of the novel, "Clark's Field," by- Robert Herriclc The story deals ' with the effect that sudden wealth has npon a poor boarding-house slavey. The backgrounds shift from the dingy board- i ing-house on' the Brooklyn waterfront to a fashionable school, then to a. villa I on Lake Como, in Italy, and back again to America in a New York hotel. Great cnre was exercised in the selection of the cast., _The supports are good and the music is being specially selected.
