BYLAW BREACHES

Infringements of- the bylaws were dealt with by Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon.

Failure to have their vehicles properly lighted resulted in the •following fines being imposed :—Thomas Richard Benge Alfred John Couchman, William Stuart Weston, Samuel Turner, Herbert Francis Hemling, 10s each ; David John Jamison, Leslie Thomas Lean, Herbert Alfred Siefert, £l- x each. ' Failure to keep their vehicles to the left cost, David Stanley Smith and Robert Lamb Crosbie Grant £1 each For exceeding the speed limit on the Hutt road, the following fines were imposed:—Charles Kirkham Stone, Victor Nprris, £3 each; Gilbert Hearne £4 Margaret Magill, who left a' vehicle facing the wrong way, was ordered to pay costs 7s. <

George Herbert Scales, who failed to stop'his motor-car when requested was fined 10s.

A fine, of 15s was imposed on Helen Magill, who drove a car without a certificate of competency.

For cycling on the bitumen track on thp Hutt road, Arthur Phillips and Benjamin Sever were each fined ss.
