SUPPLY STORE OF THE HARBOUR BOARD
The board's supplies store continued to prove.its usefulness (states the manager in his annual report). The value of the stores in hand on 30th September, 1923, was £23,624 19s 3d; purchases and transfers during the year, £40,948 ISs 4d; total, £64,5,73 14s 7d. Issues during the year, £41,420 11s 9d; stock in hand on 30th September, 1924, £23,153 2s lOd. The cost of working was £1540 18s, which is 3.7 per cent, on the issue. . . . lam satisfied that the operation of the store has proved of very great service to the board ■in the control and issue of materials required for the various works.''
