The popular Violet Assembly holds it midweek dance to-night in the Early Settlers' Hall. Misb Murphy's orchestra will supply the latest music, and the floor is 111 perfect order. There will be twenty prizes given away in the lucky waltz competition. Fashion teas commence at the Ambassador Cabaret to-morrow. Smart frocks have been selected by Paris House, and an excellent display of Dame I'ashion s latest niood is assured. Tables Bhotild--.be booked now. The plan is available at the office of the Ambassador. The cabaret is open on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
