/Mr. J. :W, Macdonald, the Public Trustee, has returned to Wellington from a Departmental, visit to Whangarei and Auckland.
Mr. T. Brodie, of the Wellington College staff, left for Auckland to-day to sit on the Appeal Board set up to hear appeals by secondary school teachers.
> Mr. Harry Price and Mr. Robert Shand, of Christchurch, arrived in Wellington this morning. They leave for Sydney by the Marama this week, to join the Oronsay for London. They intend to visit the Continent, and will return via Canada and the United States.
Mr. N. Elmslie, Apian Trade Commissioner, is leaving Auckland to-day by the_ Aorangi,' on an official visit to theUnited Kingdom. He will return to New Zealand before the opening of the Dunedin and South Seas Exhibition. Mr. W. I). Lambie will take over Mr. ISlmslie's duties during his absence.
Sir John and Lady Luke have returned to London from Scotland, and in a few days they will cross to France to make a tour of the battlefield area, writes "The Post's" London correspondent under date of 11th February. They will visit all the New Zealand battle memorials and the principal cemeteries where are the graves of New Zealand soldiers.
Mr. Wilfred A. Dowd, LL.B., of the Lands and Deeds Office, was this morning admitted as a barrister and solicitor by the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) on the motion of Mr. T. Cleary. Mr. Dowd hail been appointed Assistant Land Registrar and Examinw o£ Titles, at Nup.
